Our firm is partnering with a well-funded sports gaming startup building the future of social sports prediction experiences. The company blends the excitement of sports fandom with engaging mobile game mechanics, creating a platform where fans can compete, progress, and win through their sports knowledge.
As
Head of Product
, you will shape and optimize the experiences that define the platform’s core gameplay. You will own the product roadmap across several key game modes, including career-style progression systems, DFS-style Pick’Em gameplay, and social casino sweepstakes mechanics, ensuring they deliver strong engagement, retention, and monetization.
You’ll collaborate closely with engineering, design, data science, and live operations to build seamless, data-driven experiences that bring sports prediction gaming to a new generation of players.
Key Responsibilities
• Own and drive the product roadmap across multiple gameplay verticals
• Translate user insights, player feedback, and market trends into clear product requirements
• Lead cross-functional collaboration with engineering, design, data, and operations
• Drive experimentation and iteration through A/B testing and product analytics
• Optimize core product metrics including DAU, retention, conversion, ARPU, and LTV
• Ensure cohesion across free-to-play progression systems, fantasy gameplay, and sweepstakes mechanics
• Monitor competitors across DFS, social casino, and sports gaming to identify opportunities for differentiation
• Partner with legal and compliance teams to ensure alignment with U.S. sweepstakes and gaming regulations
Requirements
• 5+ years of experience in product management for mobile games, consumer apps, or sports/gaming platforms
• Proven track record of shipping and scaling impactful mobile features
• Strong analytical and data-driven mindset
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate product vision and strategy
• Deep user empathy and passion for building engaging consumer experiences
• Ability to balance short-term growth opportunities with long-term product strategy
• Interest in sports, competition, and social gaming
Nice to Have
• Experience with F2P economies, progression systems, or live-ops mechanics
• Exposure to fantasy sports, sweepstakes models, or real-money gaming ecosystems
• Hands-on experience with A/B testing and retention optimization
• Understanding of game design mechanics around prediction, rewards, and competition
