We are looking for an experienced
IT Project Manager
to support the delivery of a
large-scale insurance migration programme
.
This role will be responsible for driving
programme governance, planning, coordination, and delivery oversight
across multiple workstreams, ensuring alignment between technology, business, and operations stakeholders. The successful candidate will play a key role in
managing complex dependencies, risks, and timelines
, while providing clear visibility to senior leadership and supporting effective decision-making throughout the programme lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
Programme Governance & Coordination
Define and manage the
programme governance framework
, ensuring alignment across technology, business, and operations stakeholders.
Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure
consistent execution across workstreams
.
Planning & Delivery Control
Develop and maintain the
master delivery plan
, including milestones, dependencies, and key deliverables.
Monitor programme progress, ensuring
timely delivery and adherence to agreed timelines and budgets
.
Risk & Issue Management
Proactively identify
programme risks and issues
, defining mitigation strategies and ensuring resolution through structured tracking and escalation.
Maintain visibility of
key dependencies and potential impacts
across workstreams.
Executive Reporting & Governance Support
Prepare
executive reports, KPIs, and governance materials
for programme leadership and steering committees.
Provide
clear insights and progress updates
to support strategic decision-making.
Programme Tracking & Strategic Alignment
Track the progress of
business, IT, and operational initiatives
to ensure alignment with programme objectives.
Ensure delivery activities remain
consistent with integration goals and expected outcomes
.
Delivery Methodology & Quality
Implement and maintain
structured delivery methodologies and governance practices
.
Ensure
quality standards and delivery processes
are consistently applied across the programme.
Mandatory Skills & Experience
Proven experience leading
large-scale transformation or migration programmes
within
banking and/or insurance
environments.
Strong expertise in
programme governance, stakeholder management, and cross-organizational coordination
.
Demonstrated experience in
end-to-end planning, budget control, and delivery management
for complex programmes.
Strong
risk, issue, and dependency management
capabilities in high-visibility initiatives.
Excellent
executive communication and reporting skills
, including experience supporting
Steering Committees and senior leadership
.
Solid understanding of
insurance product migration and operational impacts
, ideally within regulated environments.
Nice to Have
Experience working on
insurance product migration programmes
.
Familiarity with
large-scale system or customer migration initiatives
in financial services.
