As a

Global Product Development Manager

you will be leading the early stage ideation, development and execution of a global dermatology category portfolio, from concept to market launch. The manager will drive innovation, ensure market competitiveness, and work closely with local and global Category marketing and insights teams to build product and brand strategies.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Global Category Strategy Development: Lead the development and manage comprehensive global category strategies for specialist skin care and hair care, including, but not limited to, suncare, scalp health, atopic dermatitis, eczema, acne and psoriasis, aligning with business goals and R&D objectives. Market Analysis and Insights: Collaborate closely with brand, medical, clinical and product development โ€“ operations teams to conduct in-depth market research to identify trends, unmet customer needs, opportunities, and competitive threats in the global dermatology landscape. Supplier and Partner Management: Identify, evaluate, select, and manage strategic relationships with both internal and external partners such as in-house product development, contract manufacturers and raw material suppliers. Innovation and Portfolio Growth: Drive innovation by championing the integration of new raw materials, advanced technologies, and delivery systems to enhance product efficacy and differentiation. Cross-functional Leadership & Collaboration: Lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams including In-House Product Development, External Supply Organisation, Marketing, Regulatory Affairs, Supply Chain, Clinical Innovation, Medical Affairs. Technical Project Management: Oversee and manage the development stages of product development project portfolio for the dermatology category, ensuring all agreed critical milestones are met

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum requirement - Bachelor's degree in a relevant scientific field (e.g., Chemistry, Pharmacy, Biology, Cosmetic Science); a PhD or Masters in a relevant subject field is preferred . 10+ years of progressive experience in product development within the pharmaceutical, medical device, or cosmetic industry, with a strong focus on dermatology Proven track record of successfully leading and implementing strategic initiatives and bringing new products to market. Deep knowledge of New Product Development (NPD) processes, including skincare & hair care ingredients, formulations, dermatological principles, clinical testing, and global cosmetic/pharmaceutical regulations. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate and influence stakeholders globally . Strong project management skills. Experience in managing supplier relationships and leading sourcing initiatives.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

Experience in a global role, managing diverse teams and market needs. Familiarity with ESG (Environmental & Social Governance) objectives in category strategies. Experience with product launch in dermatology (e.g., dermoscosmetic) . Proficiency in leveraging AI-generated insights and digital tools
