Role Overview We are seeking a high-caliber

Data Architect

with specialized expertise in

Denodo

to lead the design and implementation of a Data Virtualization layer for a global banking institution. You will be responsible for the end-to-end lifecycle of the Denodo platform—from integrating complex financial data sources to delivering high-performance reports for executive decision-making. The ideal candidate is not just a technical expert but a strategic leader capable of managing projects, communicating across departments in both English and Spanish, and navigating the rigorous compliance standards of the banking sector.

Key Responsibilities 1. Technical Architecture & Implementation Denodo Leadership:

Act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the Denodo Platform, managing installation, configuration, and performance tuning. Data Integration:

Design and build virtual data models that integrate disparate sources, including SQL/NoSQL databases, Cloud storage (Azure/AWS), Mainframes, and 3rd party APIs. Reporting & Analytics:

Collaborate with BI teams to build high-performance reports and dashboards (PowerBI/Tableau) directly on the virtualization layer. Security & Compliance:

Ensure all data architectural patterns meet strict banking regulations (GDPR, BCBS 239) and implement Row-Level Security (RLS) within Denodo. 2. Project Management & Strategy Roadmap Execution:

Define the data virtualization strategy and manage the project timeline, ensuring milestones are met on time and within budget. Stakeholder Management:

Act as the bridge between IT and Business units, translating complex technical requirements into clear business value. Vendor Relations:

Manage the relationship with Denodo and other technology partners to stay ahead of version updates and new features. 3. Communications & Collaboration Bilingual Delivery:

Conduct technical workshops and executive presentations in both

English and Spanish . Mentorship:

Lead a team of data engineers, providing code reviews and architectural guidance.

Required Qualifications Experience: 8+ years in Data Architecture, with at least

3-4 years of hands-on experience with the Denodo Platform .

Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.

Banking Domain:

Proven experience working within a large bank or financial institution (understanding of core banking systems, ledgers, and trade data).

Technical Stack:

Expertise in

VQL (Virtual Query Language)

and SQL. Deep understanding of Data Modeling (Star Schema, Snowflake, Data Vault 2.0). Experience with Cloud Data Warehouses (Snowflake, Databricks, or BigQuery). Project Management:

Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools like JIRA or Confluence.

Soft Skills Exceptional negotiation and persuasion skills. Ability to remain calm and methodical under the pressure of high-stakes banking deployments. Native or professional fluency in

Spanish
