Role Summary:
We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Claims Executive to join our dynamic team. The individual will be responsible for managing and processing claims related to the shipment of goods, ensuring the efficient and fair resolution of issues while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.

Role and Responsibilities:
Claims Management
Receive, review, and process claims submitted by customers for damaged, lost, or delayed shipments.
Conduct thorough investigations to determine the validity and extent of claims.
Coordinate with relevant departments such as logistics, operations, and customer service to gather necessary information and documentation.
Assess the liability and calculate the compensation for valid claims based on company policies and regulations.
Prepare detailed claim reports and maintain accurate records of all claim activities.
Ensure timely resolution of claims in compliance with legal requirements and company standards.

Ensure timely resolution of claims in compliance with legal requirements and company standards.
Handle claims for the various X-Press Feeders commercial hubs โ Asia, Europe, Americas. This includes claims from/against customers, vessel owners, and terminals.
Report claims to and/or liaise with P&I clubs, correspondents, and surveyors.
Manage charterparty disputes and ensure time bars with customers, owners and terminals are adhered to.
Assist hubs with urgent requirements on carriage of cargos/LOI or other matters in consultation with the P&I club.
Off-Hire Claims
Coordinate with LMs/operation managers to prepare off-hire statements and send them to owners within the timeline prescribed in the CP.
Follow up on recovery and closure of off-hire claims.
Damage Reports
Handle container damage reports from customers and stevedore damage reports from vessel owners.
Claim Updates
Provide daily updates to Europe and Americas hubs in respect of claim handling for incidents involving owned vessels.
Prepare bi-monthly updates for Fleet Management claims.
Manage claims involving subsidiary chartered vessels, such as crane breakdowns, stevedore damage, and claims from/against customers.
CP Check
Perform CP checks against the fixture recap before the signature.
Communicate effectively with customers to provide updates on the status of their claims.
Address customer inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally.
Negotiate settlement agreements with customers when necessary to resolve disputes amicably.
Provide guidance to customers on the claim submission process and required documentation.
Reporting and Analysis
Generate regular reports on claim activities, outcomes, and trends for management review.
Analyze claim data to identify areas for improvement and cost-saving opportunities.
Provide insights and recommendations based on claim analysis to support strategic decision-making.
Requirements:
Education and Experience
Bachelorโs degree in business administration, logistics, or a related field.
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in claims handling, preferably within the shipping or logistics industry.
Familiarity with international shipping regulations and insurance practices.
Skills and Competencies

Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with customers and internal teams effectively.
