Position: Storage Administrator / SAN-NAS EngineerLocation: Preferably Málaga or Madrid (Other locations also considered)Duration: PermanentRole OverviewThe Storage Administrator is responsible for managing and maintaining enterprise storage environments, with expertise across SAN/NAS technologies. This role requires strong technical skills in storage provisioning, performance tuning, troubleshooting, and cross‑platform support. The engineer will ensure system reliability, proactively monitor storage infrastructures, and resolve complex issues.Key ResponsibilitiesStorage OperationsInstall, configure, administer, and maintain storage arrays.Manage SAN/NAS devices, SAN switches, and replication processes.Perform LUN/volume provisioning, reclamation, performance monitoring, and tuning.Implement multipathing policies and technologies.Utilize CLI commands for storage systems and switch administration.Monitoring & TroubleshootingMonitor storage systems, handle alerts, and ensure timely incident response.Troubleshoot hardware/software issues and coordinate vendor escalations.Apply patches, carry out firmware upgrades, and conduct maintenance.Analyze performance metrics and optimize storage configurations.Infrastructure & ProtocolsAdminister SAN fabric switches (Cisco/Brocade), including zoning, VSANs, FC‑IP, ISL setup, and segmentation.Work with SAN/NAS protocols: FC, FCoE, NFS, CIFS.Support environments across Windows, Linux, Solaris, and VMware platforms.Process & CompliancePrioritize tickets based on severity, urgency, and business impact.Follow ITIL best practices and contribute to proactive problem prevention.Participate in 24x7 support and on‑call rotations.Identify risks, propose long‑term solutions, and improve processes.Required Skills & Experience (2–4 Years)Experience with storage platforms such as HP 3PAR, Primera, NetApp (C‑mode / 7‑mode).Strong knowledge of SAN/NAS architecture and related protocols.Proficiency in CLI for storage/switch management.Knowledge of multipathing technologies and performance analysis.Experience supporting Windows, Linux, Solaris, and VMware environments.Solid troubleshooting and incident management skills.Ability to work under critical environments and handle escalations.English: B2 levelPreferred QualificationsExperience working with Cisco or Brocade SAN switches.ITIL certification or strong knowledge of ITIL framework.
