Associate Director, Medical Affairs – Molecular Diagnostics
The Associate Director of Medical Affairs, Molecular Diagnostics, will manage scientific and medical support for an infectious diseases molecular diagnostics portfolio. The successful candidate will lead a global team of scientists and medical advisors and support broader Medical Affairs programs as well as regional Medical Affairs teams across multiple international regions.
This is an onsite role in Barcelona, Spain.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the daily activities, budget, planning, and resource allocation of the Medical Affairs team
Act as a core member of cross-functional project development committees
Lead medical risk analyses and collaborate closely with Post-Market Surveillance teams
Develop and lead Medical Training and Medical Education programs
Serve as the lead for Investigator-Initiated Study programs related to the molecular diagnostics portfolio
Lead interdisciplinary support activities across Commercial, Clinical Affairs, Regulatory Affairs, and Research & Development teams
Position Requirements
Strong laboratory and/or medical background in infectious disease diagnostics
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Medical Affairs, preferably within an in vitro diagnostics environment
At least 3 years’ experience in a people-management role
Experience in the design and development of infectious disease diagnostic products
Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills; fluency in English is mandatory
Willingness and ability to travel internationally as required
