RESEARCHER ENERGY STORAGE MATERIALS AND RECYCLING:

Position Overview:

As a Researcher in our energy storage group, you will be involved in hands-on research and development focused on battery cell preparation, testing and battery recycling activities. You will also have the chance to contribute to European and local industrial projects, collaborating with various international and national partners to drive innovation in energy storage solutions. This is an excellent opportunity to grow your skills in a cutting-edge field, working closely with experienced scientists on a variety of projects.

Key responsibilities:

· Perform Li-ion coin cell preparation, including slurry mixing, electrode preparation, and cell assembly. · Perform activities for Li recovery from different sources (used batteries, brines) · Conduct electrochemical testing, such as cyclic voltammetry, EIS, galvanostatic charge-discharge, and related methods. · Carry out materials characterization techniques, including SEM, XRD, and thermal analysis (e.g., DSC, TGA) for next gen batteries. · Assist in the analysis of experimental data to optimize materials and cell performance. · Participate in European and local projects, contributing to the development and implementation of advanced energy storage technologies.

Qualification:

· Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Electrochemistry, Chemistry, Materials Science, or related fields. · Strong foundational knowledge in electrochemistry and materials science. · Familiar with electrochemical setup and testing methods such as CV, EIS and galvanostatic charge/discharge. · Previous hands-on experience in battery research, energy storage, battery recycling or related field is a plus · Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. · Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Languages:

· Fluent level of Spanish and English, oral and written.
