Our client, a leading company specialized in natural products for health, wellness, and beauty, is seeking a General Manager Spain. Reporting directly to the Group CEO, this person will lead the Spanish subsidiary and further unlock its significant growth potential.
The General Manager Spain will hold full responsibility for the development and performance of the Spanish business and will ensure effective coordination with the Group regarding the subsidiaries in Latin America. This is a highly commercial, hands‑on leadership role with full P&L accountability and a strong focus on revenue growth, market expansion, and sales execution. The position requires an entrepreneurial leader capable of building and executing a winning commercial strategy while structuring and scaling local operations in close alignment with the Group’s overall strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
With solid experience in business management, a strong track-record in FMCG/personal care, and a proven ability to lead and motivate teams, the General Manager will be responsible for the following:
Strategic Leadership:
Define and implement company business and brand development strategy in alignment with company Group objectives
Contribute to strategic reflections on portfolio development and potential acquisitions in Spain
Set and monitor ambitious growth and profitability targets for Spanish company
Analyse local and international market trends to identify new opportunities and anticipate risks
Commercial Development:
Deploy the successful company group sell-out oriented commercial model in the Spanish market, particularly in parapharmacies, beauty channel and online
Ensure strong go-to-market execution, including pricing, promotions and sales force effectiveness
Negotiate and maintain relationships with key partners, clients and stakeholders
Identify and develop new business opportunities, channels, partnerships or acquisitions
Management & Leadership:
Lead and inspire local teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture
Ensure best practices in talent management, HR processes and team development
Oversee day-to-day operations, optimising processes and ensuring product and service quality
Coordinate with the management teams of company subsidiaries based in other countries
Financial & Operational Management:
Oversee budgeting, cost control and ensure profitability
Implement key performance indicators (KPIs) and closely monitor financial performance
Ensure compliance with all local legal, fiscal and regulatory requirements
Cross-Functional & Group Alignment:
Work closely with Group functions (marketing, supply chain, finance, R&D) and headquarter
Ensure alignment with Group brand strategy, product launches and transformation initiatives
Contribute to Group-wide strategic projects and best practice sharing
Represent the company at industry events, trade fairs and professional conferences
Professional Experience:
University degree in business, management or a related field
10+ years of experience in commercial and general management roles, ideally in FMCG or personal care related sectors
Strong knowledge of the Spanish market, including its economic, cultural and regulatory specificities
Position based in León, Spain (it is essential to be in León)
Fluent Spanish and English (French is a plus)
