Development Engineer
to join our R&D team.

We are a healthtech company specialized in the development of advanced robotic systems for high-precision minimally invasive surgery. Founded in 2012 as a spin-off from UPC and IBEC, our mission is clear: to make robot-assisted surgery more accessible, precise, and efficient worldwide.
What will your mission be?
As a Development Engineer, you will play a key role in the design, development, and optimization of our computer-controlled surgical robotic systems, endoscopic instruments, and accessories.
You will contribute to the full development lifecycle (from concept and design to verification, industrialization, and transfer to production) ensuring compliance with regulatory and quality standards within the medical device industry.
Your main responsibilities will include:
Design and development of computer-controlled surgical systems, endoscopic instruments, and accessories, including optimization of designs and subsystems.
Generation of ideas and technical solutions for new products and research of state-of-the-art technologies.
Design and execution of test benches and specific experiments, including drafting and review of protocols and test reports.
Preparation, review, and maintenance of design and development documentation and technical files.
Design verification and support in risk management activities.
Coordination with production and suppliers, including support in design transfer, component/process requirements, and training of production personnel.
Support in administrative and technical documentation tasks to ensure compliance with Quality Management System requirements.
What are we looking for?
Degree in Industrial Engineering, preferably specialized in Robotics or Mechatronics.
Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role.
Experience in the medical device industry.
Previous experience working under ISO 13485 environments.
Valuable knowledge in process improvement, risk management, and process validation.
Engineering background with exposure to mechanical, electronic, and software design (preferred).
