Job Title: Java Backend Developer Location: Madrid, Spain(2 days in a week) Permanent role

Job Description: We are looking for an experienced Senior Java Backend Engineer to design and develop scalable, high-performance enterprise backend applications. The role involves building microservices, developing RESTful APIs, and working with cloud-native solutions on Azure. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment to deliver reliable and secure applications while maintaining high standards of code quality and performance. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications using

Java 17+ and Spring Boot

. Build and maintain

RESTful APIs and microservices architectures

. Work with

SQL and NoSQL databases

and optimize queries for performance. Implement and maintain

CI/CD pipelines

using tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps. Develop and deploy applications using

Docker and containerized environments

. Build and support

Azure cloud-native applications

using App Services, Azure Functions, AKS, and Storage. Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize application performance and reliability. Participate in

Agile/Scrum ceremonies

and collaborate with developers, architects, and DevOps teams. Ensure

security best practices, code quality, and automated testing

. Mandatory Skills 7+ years of

Java backend development

experience. Strong expertise in

Java 17+, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and Microservices

. Experience with

Hibernate/JPA

and

SQL/NoSQL databases

. Experience with

Git, Maven/Gradle, and Docker

. Hands-on experience with

CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps)

. Experience with

Microsoft Azure services (App Services, Azure Functions, AKS, Storage)

. Strong understanding of

application performance, security practices, and monitoring

. Experience working in

Agile/Scrum development environments

. Good to Have Experience with

Kafka or Kubernetes

. Exposure to

React or Angular

. Java or Azure certifications

. Experience with

Infrastructure-as-Code tools (Bicep or ARM templates)

. Knowledge of

application observability and monitoring tools
