Systems Design Engineer - Digital Electronics

Building next-generation precision manufacturing equipment and are seeking an experienced Senior Systems Engineer to lead the architecture and system design of our first industrial-scale platform.

This is a high-visibility role where you will define the technical backbone of a complex tool, collaborating closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams. You will play a key part in transitioning cutting-edge technology into a robust, manufacturable product.

Your Responsibilities Translate product objectives into clear system-level requirements and structured subsystem specifications Develop and own the overall system architecture, including interface definitions and integration concepts Establish modular design principles to enable scalability and manufacturability Ensure compliance with relevant engineering and safety standards for semiconductor manufacturing equipment Coordinate cross-functional alignment between physics, software, hardware, and manufacturing teams Manage technical interfaces with external suppliers and strategic partners Lead system-level risk assessments and mitigation strategies Oversee technical project planning, including scope definition, timelines, and milestone tracking Drive system documentation standards and maintain structured technical records

What We’re Looking For Proven experience in the design and industrialization of semiconductor manufacturing equipment Strong background in optical systems and precision metrology Experience with structured requirements engineering methodologies Demonstrated expertise in system architecture, modularization, and interface control Familiarity with safety and compliance standards relevant to semiconductor tools Experience with BOM structures, lifecycle management, and configuration control Hands-on experience with risk analysis methodologies (e.g., FMEA) and structured troubleshooting Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional communication skills Ability to think holistically across mechanical, optical, electrical, and software domains
