Primary substitute teacher with Montessori

Company Description Barcelona Montessori School, established in 2020, is a British Montessori school located in the Sarria neighborhood of Barcelona. We provide an authentic Montessori learning environment for children aged 14 months to 12 years. Guided by the Montessori philosophy, we focus on fostering independence, curiosity, and a love of learning in a nurturing setting.

Role Description This is a full-time on-site role for a Primary Substitute Teacher with expertise in the Montessori approach. The role is located in Barcelona and includes responsibilities such as implementing lesson plans, delivering engaging lessons, and fostering a positive learning environment in line with Montessori principles. The teacher will collaborate with other educators to maintain the school’s educational standards and support the development of each child’s individual potential.

Qualifications Strong skills in Teaching, Elementary Education, and Curriculum Development Excellent Communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with students, parents, and staff A background or certification in Montessori or Education is highly desirable Experience working with children aged 14 months to 12 years is an asset Adaptability and a passion for fostering children’s growth and learning Fluency in English; additional languages such as Spanish or Catalan are a plus
