Senior AI/ML Engineer (Robotics)

A fast-growing robotics company is developing autonomous inspection robots used across energy, utilities, and industrial facilities. Their systems combine advanced mobility, perception, and AI to operate in environments that are difficult or unsafe for humans.

They’re looking for a Senior AI/ML Engineer with strong experience to design, deploy, and scale machine learning systems across edge devices and cloud platforms, while helping shape the long-term technical roadmap.

What You’ll Be Doing Design and build scalable data collection and evaluation infrastructure Develop ML evaluation frameworks and deploy models into production Benchmark and optimise ML models for latency and performance on edge and cloud systems Run experiments, analyse results, and drive model improvements Lead complex technical initiatives and provide guidance to other engineers Architect robust, scalable ML systems for real-world robotic applications Collaborate closely with product, UX, and cross-functional engineering teams

What They’re Looking For Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or similar Strong software engineering skills in modern C++ and Python Experience deploying and optimising ML systems on edge devices and cloud platforms Solid understanding of software architecture, performance optimisation, and scalability Experience building ML pipelines covering data collection, training, evaluation, and deployment Background delivering and maintaining large-scale production software

Nice to Have Experience with modern deep learning and computer vision models (Transformers, Diffusion models, Multi-Modal, Large Vision Models etc.) Exposure to multi-modal sensing (vision, thermal, audio, gas, etc.) Experience with ROS2, robotics middleware, or simulation frameworks GPU programming and performance benchmarking experience

Hybrid working in Barcelona, open to relocators.

Salary up to €85,000 + bonus + benefits.
