The role
We’re seeking a dedicated Finance Manager to serve as the CEO’s right hand.
You’ll lead budgeting and cash flow forecasting, monitor budget vs. actual performance, and provide clear financial reporting to support decision-making and profitability.
You’ll also own day-to-day financial and accounting operations, including reconciling and maintaining accounts, managing invoicing, conducting monthly/quarterly/annual closings, handling accounts receivable and payable, while overseeing payroll, financial systems, HR support, and office administration.
This role requires a high level of discretion, strong attention to detail, excellent organizational and communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Responsibilities:
Lead the annual budgeting process across events and departments
Build and maintain rolling cash flow forecasts
Monitor budget vs. actual performance, flagging deviations and ensuring cost discipline
Prepare monthly financial reports to support management decision-making
Perform bank reconciliations, ensuring timely and accurate payments
Manage invoicing, from issuing invoices to tracking payments and resolving discrepancies, ensuring timely billing and accurate records
Conduct monthly, quarterly, and annual closings, ensuring all accounts are reconciled on time
Oversee accounts receivable and payable, tracking, recording, and reconciling payments while following up on outstanding balances
Report on missing invoices, identifying and resolving discrepancies
Liaise with the accounting firm to ensure accurate bookkeeping
Manage Pleo and other financial tools
Manage employee vacations, check-ins, and HR management tools
Process payroll, ensuring accurate salaries, benefits, and deductions
Use Excel to manage and analyze financial data
Oversee internships, visa processing, and other HR-related paperwork
Provide office administration support, including coordinating purchases and managing supplies.
Requirements:
BSc in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
Proven experience in accounting or financial management
Strong knowledge of accounting software (e.g., Holded) and financial tools (e.g., Pleo)
Experience with working with tax agencies or accountants within a Spanish context
Excellent organizational and time management skills, with attention to detail
Ability to handle multiple tasks, including HR, payroll, and financial reporting
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Good communication skills, both written and verbal
Proactive and self-motivated attitude
