Role Overview:
The Global VP of Sales will be responsible for
defining and executing the global commercial strategy
across international markets. This role will lead revenue growth, market expansion and channel development for the company’s own brands, ensuring strong alignment between sales, marketing, brand positioning and operational capabilities.
Reporting directly to the CEO / Managing Director, this role will play a key part in shaping the company’s international growth agenda.
Key Responsibilities:
Commercial & Growth Strategy
Define and execute the
international commercial strategy
aligned with the company’s brand and growth objectives.
Identify and prioritize
target markets
, routes to market and growth opportunities.
Own international
revenue, margin and volume targets
.
International Sales & Channels
Lead and develop international sales across key channels (distributors, importers, retail, foodservice, e-commerce, depending on market).
Build and manage relationships with
strategic partners, distributors and key accounts
.
Negotiate commercial agreements, pricing structures and trade terms.
Brand & Go-to-Market
Ensure strong and consistent
brand positioning
across all international markets.
Collaborate closely with Marketing to define
go-to-market strategies
, launches, promotions and portfolio adaptation by market.
Balance global brand coherence with local market needs.
Team Leadership
Build, lead and develop a high-performing
international commercial team
.
Set clear objectives, KPIs and performance management processes.
Act as a role model in commercial excellence, leadership and accountability.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with Operations, Supply Chain, Finance and Marketing to ensure feasibility and profitability of growth plans.
Provide market insights to support
product development and innovation
.
Reporting & Governance
Monitor performance through dashboards and KPIs.
Report regularly to executive leadership on progress, risks and opportunities.
Ensure compliance with internal policies and local market regulations.
Key Requirements:
Proven experience as
International Commercial Director, Global Sales Director or similar
in the
food & beverage industry
.
Strong background in
own-brand / branded products
(not purely private label).
Demonstrated success in
international market expansion
and distributor-led models.
Experience managing complex, multi-country commercial organizations.
Strong strategic thinking with a hands-on, execution-driven mindset.
Excellent negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
Deep understanding of international FMCG markets and channels.
Financial acumen, including pricing, margins and P&L ownership.
Ability to operate in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
