We are currently recruiting an
HR Business Partner
(12 month Fixed-term contract to cover maternity leave) for our Retail population in
Madrid . You will be based in our
Barcelona office
and will be visiting your stores locally on regular basis to build strong relationships.
The role of the HR Business Partner is to act as a role model for all
UNIQLO
and Fast Retailing values and principles, coaching managers in formal and informal HR procedure, developing through coaching their people management skills, and delivering the valuable HR services to our store staff.

and who wants to develop within a fast moving and operational role. As a Retail HR Business Partner you’ll partner closely with Store Operations teams, supporting line managers with daily HR operations and delivering an exceptional HR service to your local stores across.
What you will be responsible for:
Partner with the Country Senior HR Manager and COO to design, maintain, and evolve the organizational structure.
Act as the HR point of contact for Madrid store operations, providing day‑to‑day guidance on all HR matters.
Ensure consistent application, maintenance, and communication of HR policies, tools, and audits in line with local legal requirements.
Collect store hiring plans, build recruitment calendars, and manage end‑to‑end recruitment for Madrid stores.
Lead final interviews, onboarding follow‑up, probation management, and UMC processes for store staff.
Deploy effective sourcing, selection, and employer branding strategies in collaboration with EU Talent Acquisition and Spain HR teams.
Train and coach store managers on recruitment processes, tools, and people management practices.
Drive employee engagement, performance, learning, and retention initiatives across Madrid stores.
Manage employee relations, including coaching managers, handling disciplinary cases, and liaising with specialists as needed.
Oversee employee representative matters, health & safety committees, and collective agreement compliance while continuously improving HR processes across the EU.
Skills, Experience and Attributes:
3-5 years previous HR Generalist Experience, ideally within a retail or multi-site setting
Fluent both English and Spanish (Written and Verbal) is essential
Experience working in an international HR team would be highly advantageous
Ability to build trusting relationships at all levels of the company
Excellent listening and communication skills
Strong customer focus
Highly organised and flexible
