Senior Project Manager (AI)

to join our team in an international project.

Location:

Barcelona or Madrid (1 day per week at the office).

The team is responsible for the operational management of distinct mid-size to large-size projects of a program and ensures that the overall project objectives are clearly defined and met. These projects are characterized by medium to large complexity, medium to large change and communications elements and important business impact.

Key responsibilities:

End-to-End Project Delivery Lead complex AI initiatives (Generative AI, ML, data engineering) from initiation to deployment. Manage multiple mid-to-large projects, ensuring quality, timeline, and budget compliance. Coordinate cross-functional teams, manage dependencies, and remove delivery impediments. Align projects with business objectives and KPIs.

Risk & Governance Identify and mitigate AI-related risks (e.g., data limitations, model accuracy). Ensure compliance with data privacy laws (e.g., GDPR), security standards, and responsible AI principles. Adhere to PMO governance frameworks (charter, budget, risks, reporting, change management).

Stakeholder & Resource Management Act as primary liaison between clients, leadership, and internal teams. Provide executive-level updates on progress, risks, and financials. Manage budgets, vendors, cloud costs, and resource allocation.

You should have: Experience:

5–7+ years in project management within Financial Institutions, leading large, cross-functional, multi-country projects; strong exposure to AI, SaaS, ML, or complex tech initiatives. Technical Knowledge:

Solid understanding of AI technologies, ML lifecycle, MLOps, and data pipelines. Methodologies:

Proven experience with Agile (Scrum) and Waterfall (3–5+ years in Agile environments). Education/Certifications:

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile/Scrum certifications are a plus. Tools:

Experience with JIRA, MS Project, or similar tools. Skills:

Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills; experience working with C-level executives; fluent English required.
