Mission The Mechanical Engineer will contribute to the design, development, and integration of mechanical and optomechanical components used in advanced optical systems. The role involves supporting the full development cycle from early concept and CAD design through prototyping, manufacturing documentation, and system integration while collaborating closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams.

Responsibilities Mechanical Design and Development Design mechanical and optomechanical components using CAD tools, ensuring precision, reliability, and manufacturability. Develop detailed 3D models and technical drawings for fabrication and assembly. Contribute to the mechanical architecture of integrated optical systems.

Prototyping and Assembly Support the fabrication, assembly, and validation of prototypes and specialized tooling. Participate in hands-on testing and iteration during prototype development phases. Collaborate with internal teams to refine designs based on testing and system integration feedback.

Technical Documentation Prepare and maintain manufacturing documentation including Bills of Materials and technical procedures. Generate assembly documentation and engineering drawings for production. Ensure technical documentation supports both prototype development and manufacturing processes.

Cross-Functional Engineering Collaboration Participate in technical brainstorming sessions and project development meetings. Work closely with optical, electronic, and mechanical engineering teams to support system integration. Contribute to the resolution of integration challenges within multidisciplinary projects.

Required Qualifications University degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related engineering discipline. Demonstrable experience with CAD design tools, preferably SolidWorks. Experience in mechanical design for precision or engineering-driven environments. Ability to produce technical drawings, BoMs, and structured engineering documentation. Professional proficiency in English, both written and spoken. Strong organizational skills and ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.

Preferred Experience Experience in optomechanical design or optical system integration. Familiarity with optical alignment techniques or precision mechanical assemblies. Exposure to engineering simulation or analysis tools such as FEA. Experience working in advanced technology or research-driven engineering environments.
