Backend Python Engineer (Healthcare Tech)

Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain APIs and microservices in Python using

FastAPI, Django, and Typer . Implement and integrate solutions with healthcare systems using

HL7 standards

and integration engines such as

Mirth Connect . Manage and optimize relational databases, particularly

PostgreSQL . Implement messaging and asynchronous processing systems using

RabbitMQ or Redis . Administer and deploy services in

Linux

environments. Containerize applications and manage environments using

Docker . Ensure software quality through automated testing, sound architectural practices, and CI/CD pipelines. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product, frontend, data, and international partners). Requirements 3+ years of backend development experience in production environments. Strong proficiency in

Python , with solid experience in

FastAPI and/or Django . Experience with relational databases, especially

PostgreSQL . Experience with messaging/queue systems such as

RabbitMQ or Redis . Experience administering

Linux servers . Hands-on experience with

Docker

and containerized environments. Knowledge of or experience with healthcare integrations using

HL7 . Professional-level English (ability to work with technical documentation and international partners).

Nice to Have Previous experience in the healthcare sector. Advanced knowledge of

HL7 standards . Experience with microservices architectures. Experience in cloud environments or

Kubernetes . Experience with
