Director of Finance

to join the executive leadership team of a prestigious luxury hospitality asset. This is a pivotal role for a finance leader who thrives in high-performance environments and can combine strategic insight with operational excellence.

Reporting directly to the General Manager and working closely with ownership and senior stakeholders, you will be responsible for driving financial strategy, safeguarding the financial integrity of the business, and ensuring the property consistently delivers strong commercial performance. This role sits at the heart of the executive committee and will play a key part in shaping long-term growth and profitability.

The Role

You will oversee all aspects of the finance function while acting as a strategic advisor to senior leadership. Key responsibilities include: Leading the full financial operations of the property, including reporting, budgeting, forecasting and financial planning Providing strategic financial insight to support commercial decision-making and long-term business objectives Managing cash flow, financial controls and compliance with international accounting standards and regulatory frameworks Partnering with operational leaders to optimise profitability, drive cost efficiency and enhance financial performance Building and mentoring a high-performing finance team and fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement Acting as the key liaison with ownership, asset management teams, corporate stakeholders and auditors Supporting capital planning, investment decisions and long-term financial modelling

The Ideal Candidate

This position requires a sophisticated finance professional with strong leadership capability and experience operating within complex luxury hospitality environments. Understanding of Spanish accounting standards and regulations 10+ years’ experience in senior finance leadership roles within luxury hospitality A recognised professional qualification such as

ACA, ACCA, CPA, CIMA or equivalent Demonstrated ability to operate as a strategic business partner to executive leadership teams Strong experience with budgeting, forecasting, financial controls and performance analysis A leadership style that inspires teams while maintaining rigorous financial discipline The confidence to manage relationships with owners, asset managers and corporate stakeholders
