I’m partnering with a cutting-edge pharmaceutical company that is redefining how artificial intelligence is applied to medicine and chemistry.

They’re expanding their research team and are looking for a deeply curious, intellectually rigorous Research Scientist – Causal Inference to focus on fundamental research with real-world scientific impact. This is not a pure implementation role. It’s for someone who loves to think critically, challenge assumptions, and develop new ideas from first principles.

What You’ll Be Doing: Developing and improving foundational AI and data-driven research methods. Applying advanced approaches to complex observational and longitudinal studies in medicine and chemistry. Collaborating with domain experts to translate abstract scientific ideas into tangible results. Publishing research in leading international, peer-reviewed journals. Contributing actively to the academic community (presenting, refereeing, and discussing research).

What you need: Strong research track record with peer-reviewed publications. Ability to independently develop novel ideas, not just execute existing methods. Proficiency in Python. Solid grounding in Machine Learning and Deep Learning fundamentals. Intellectual honesty, self-awareness, and the ability to manage a full research workload.

Highly Desirable: Background in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, or Biology (preferred over traditional CS/AI-only backgrounds). Understanding of advanced causal reasoning and related algorithms. Backend coding experience.

Prior causality experience is not essential — the company is looking for exceptional researchers eager to learn and will provide the necessary training.
