VAT Manager, Madrid - Advisory-led indirect tax work in a high-impact international environment

Importantly, this is not a compliance-heavy VAT role.The focus is advisory, structuring, inspections and strategic positioning. Compliance exists, but it is not the driver.

You’d be joining a National Indirect Tax team that works on: High-value VAT advisory and structuring Managing and defending tax inspections Cross-border projects with multinational groups VAT recovery strategy, exemptions and sector-specific advisory Customs, special and environmental taxes Risk identification and opportunity analysis

This is forward-looking work. Clients come to this team when the matter is complex, exposed, or commercially sensitive, not when they need a return filed.

What we’re looking for:

Degree in Law, Business, or similar (Master’s in Tax preferred) 5 - 7 years of experience in Tax (strong VAT focus) Professional English and Spanish language skills Ability to operate autonomously in an advisory environment
