We are looking for a

Backend Software Engineer

to join a strategic AI-driven initiative within a leading German automotive client.

You will contribute to the development of scalable backend systems powering

AI-based products

, working in a cloud-native environment with modern DevOps and Infrastructure-as-Code practices.

Key Responsibilities Design and develop scalable backend services using

Python Build RESTful APIs and microservices with

FastAPI Develop modular, service-oriented architectures Contribute to backend systems supporting

GenAI / RAG-based products Define and deploy infrastructure using

Terraform or Pulumi Containerize and deploy services using Docker Work in cloud environments (AWS / Azure) Collaborate with AI, Data and Frontend teams in an international setup Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps best practices Ensure high code quality through testing and pre-commit standards

Required Skills 5+ years of experience as a

Python Developer Strong experience building

RESTful APIs Experience with

FastAPI Knowledge of asynchronous programming Experience with service-oriented architecture and modularization Hands-on experience with

Docker Experience defining infrastructure using

Terraform or Pulumi (Infrastructure as Code) Experience with unit testing and containerized development (Dev Containers) Solid experience with

cloud platforms (Azure or AWS) Professional working proficiency in English (C1)

⭐ Nice to Have DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines Experience with PostgreSQL and/or MongoDB Familiarity with React Experience with

GenAI / RAG pipelines Knowledge of vector stores (FAISS, ChromaDB, Azure AI Search) Experience with pre-commit hooks and static analysis Experience designing scalable and high-availability systems

Location:

100% Remote Schedule:

40h/week. Flexible, with reduced hours on Fridays Language:
