Job Summary
We are looking for a Senior Corporate Strategy Analyst. You will support the Group strategy, setting the company’s vision & elevating the key pillars to enable strategic prioritization while incorporating a “public company” lens, providing top management rigorous deep and “from the ground” analysis and continuous & consistent market assessment to facilitate decision making. You will collaborate with the definition & implementation of the Company strategy in the short, mid and long term through a rigorous and deep analysis framework that facilitates decision making in order to ensure rapid and profitable growth.
Job Description
The Senior Corporate Strategy Analyst supports the Head of Corporate Strategy in
the definition of the Group strategy, setting the company’s vision & elevating the key pillars to enable strategic prioritization while incorporating a “public company” lens,
providing top management rigorous deep and “from the ground” analysis and continuous & consistent market assessment to facilitate decision making.
The position has a relevant role in
defining the Strategy Planning Program , fostering a
collaboration framework between Commercial Strategy, Finance
(Budget & forecasting)
and Commercial Planning & Performance functions
by ensuring ownership and accountability per function as well as key milestones to deliver Strategic Plan (e.g. 3YP).
The role plays a significant part in
raising the bar company-wide
by providing
deep understanding of ecosystem markets through the “Market Center of Excellence”
(Market Lighthouse), building & regularly updating market models for key ecosystem products (e.g. Accommodation, M&E) & materials with outcome of analysis to become the point of reference for market data for the organization through updates on key industry trends, market news & competitive landscape (incl. Q-reporting reflections).
The role helps the Head of Strategy
prepare fact-based strategic discussions at Exco level
to align i)
HBX strategic vision & pillars
& ii)
new business opportunities and industry trends , identifying themes to be explored as part of Strategic Discoveries and enabling business unit commercial strategy.
The role collaborates very closely with the
Commercial Strategy
team to ensure that both commercial plans and strategic projects are at all times
aligned with HBX key strategic pillars
and company-wide vision
Job Responsibilities
Support the annual Strategic Planning Process, both at the HBX level (Corporate) and Business Unit level
Perform regular market & competitive landscape analysis
Collaborate and support in the development of strategic projects & initiatives
Develop presentations with conceptual and/or quantitative analysis that facilitate top management decision making
Have a relevant role in key projects with high impact for HB Frequent interaction with EXCO members and top management
Be responsible to deliver work with tight deadlines and high levels of pressure
Delivery of high-level quality work
Work with uncertainty and limited information
Ambiguity of situations
Abstract information to be clearly stated and summarized for top management to make decisions
Required Skills and Experience
Curious, proactive & can-do attitude with proven problem-solving skills
Personal sense of diligence in order to prioritize & deliver workload
Excellent inter-personal communication skills and ability to work with employees at all levels and functions, especially with senior stakeholders (top management)
Ability to meet tight deadlines and handle multiple tasks
Tenacity, pro-activity and the confidence to challenge information and processes that do not make sense
Ability to work with uncertainty and limited information
Ability to abstract information from disparate sources and clearly state and synthesize it for top management to facilitate decision-making
Fully proficient in English (Spanish optional)
Advanced Power Point skills required
Strong excel & modelling skills required
Analytical and Data visualization (Tableau) skills required (SQL skills optional)
Degree in Finance, Business administration & engineering degree or equivalent qualification
2+ years of relevant experience in strategic consulting, investment banking, or corporate strategy in a multinational environment
Previous experience in the travel & tourism industry desired but optional
