Manufacturing Engineer

Senior Manufacturing Engineer 12 month contract On-site in Redmond, WA Must be able to work on a W2 Second Shift: 12 PM to 10 PM PST (Flexible, 4x10 or 5x8 shifts) M-F

Job Summary We are seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to support process improvement and ensure manufacturing quality, safety, and efficiency. In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, validate, and implement new manufacturing methods and equipment. You will resolve production issues, drive continuous improvement, and ensure compliance with industry standards.

Job Responsibilities Direct and coordinate fabrication, installation, operation, and maintenance of mechanical or electromechanical equipment, machines, and systems. Ensure manufacturing processes meet quality and industry standards. Oversee installation, operation, maintenance, and repair of centralized systems (heat, gas, water, steam). Evaluate mechanical products for cost effectiveness, efficiency, and recommend design modifications. Resolve manufacturing issues by identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions. Collaborate with Production, Design Engineering, Quality Assurance, and Purchasing to improve processes and reduce risk. Develop and implement new manufacturing processes, concepts, and best practices. Create and maintain process documentation and conduct experiments to validate process changes. Train assemblers in new or updated processes. Manage production line balancing, tooling, equipment installation, and qualification. Evaluate product designs and support DF(X) improvements. Improve ergonomics, material presentation, and packaging methods.

Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience. Minimum 2+ years’ experience in process design, development, and process/equipment qualification or validation. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to collect and analyze data (preferred).
