Your Role:
As a Sales Associate, you will deliver exceptional service, foster meaningful customer relationships, and embody Bergdorf Goodman’s values of Excellence, Imagination & Graciousness. In this fast-paced luxury environment, you will use your product expertise, clienteling skills, and personal style to create memorable shopping experiences that exceed expectations and inspire customer loyalty.
Key Responsibilities:
Create a welcoming environment by greeting and engaging customers in a warm, professional manner
Deliver personalized service by recommending merchandise based on product knowledge and client preferences
Maintain in-depth knowledge of current merchandise, trends, and brand stories
Follow through on customer requests, ensuring timely communication and resolution
Build long-term relationships by proactively connecting with clients through clienteling tools and follow-up outreach
Promote the benefits of the InCircle program to enhance customer loyalty
Support visual merchandising standards and ensure the sales floor is well-presented
Partner with team members to create a collaborative, service-focused environment
Use mobile devices and digital tools to communicate with customers and drive business
Ensure compliance with audit and operational procedures
Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability to meet changing business needs
Qualifications:
Excellent customer service skills with a client-focused mindset
Motivated and results-driven with a strong attention to detail
Ability to work autonomously while contributing to team success
Previous commission sales or retail experience preferred; luxury experience a plus
Ability to stand for extended periods, bend, climb stairs, and lift merchandise as needed
Flexible schedule with availability on evenings, weekends, and holidays
