Our client, a premier physician-led practice in Suffolk County, Long Island, is seeking a
Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Cardiologist
to join their esteemed team. This group is dedicated to delivering exceptional care, cutting-edge cardiovascular treatments, and a personalized approach to patient health. The practice has a strong reputation for clinical excellence, patient satisfaction, and provider collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive cardiovascular care as the clinical team leader.
Obtain and evaluate patient histories, conduct physical exams, and order/interpret diagnostic tests.
Diagnose and treat a broad range of acute and chronic cardiac conditions.
Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans to ensure continuity of care.
Educate patients on cardiac health, wellness, treatment plans, and medication adherence.
Document patient visits and treatment plans accurately in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
Coordinate referrals and provide clear communication to other specialists and primary care providers.
Share call coverage (nights and weekends) as part of a rotating call group.
Supervise and provide guidance to nurses, medical assistants, and technologists in the clinical setting.
Mentor and oversee shadowing students, physician extenders, and nursing interns.
Maintain compliance with HIPAA, CMS, NYS DOH, and payer-specific regulations and benchmarks.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and population health efforts.
Contribute to building a strong patient panel sufficient to support salary and overhead.
Qualifications
MD or DO with board certification/eligibility in Cardiology.
Licensed (or eligible for licensure) to practice medicine in the state of New York.
Strong clinical acumen, communication skills, and a commitment to team-based care.
Entrepreneurial mindset with an ability to grow and manage a thriving patient base.
Proficiency with EMRs and value-based care benchmarks a plus.
