Description
The Warehouse Associate receives, stores and distributes material, equipment and products in the warehouse.
Essential Functions
Materials Handling
Assist shipping and receiving, unloading trucks, checking in merchandise, matching purchase orders to sales orders and distributing to sales associates for processing.
Reading customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed and/or shipped.
Moving materials and items from receiving or storage areas to shipping or to other designated areas.
Sorting and placing materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code.
Filling requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials, tools, or other stock items and distributes items to shipping or to designated route driver storage area.
Marking materials with identifying information using appropriate method.
Recording amounts of materials or items received or distributed via appropriate computer program.
Safety
Complies with all OSHA safety requirements, work rules and regulations
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs safely, utilizing proper body mechanics
Reports unsafe conditions and behaviors to their supervisor
Maintains the cleanliness of their work areas
General and Administrative
Basic computer skills are required
Must be able to read, speak, and write in English
Supports the corporate vision, mission and values
Communicates effectively with various management and operational departments
Complies with all OSHA safety requirements, work rules and regulations
Compiles and maintains all required paperwork, records, documents, etc.
Follows systems and procedures outlined in company manuals
All other duties as requested by management
Work Schedule
This role is 100% on-site, Monday-Friday. Monday-Thursday 8am-5pm, and Friday 8am-3pm.
Qualifications
Formal Education and Certification
High school diploma required
Knowledge and Experience
Solid, dependable history of safe, consistent work
Experience utilizing material handling equipment
Forklift experience is required
The ability to do basic math and take measurements is highly desirable
Personal Attributes
Dependability and consistency of work ethic
Superior depth perception and hand-eye coordination
Outstanding interpersonal and relationship-building skills
Desire to serve
