GE Vernova Villeurbanne, Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, France Job Description Summary Within Electrification Systems, the Grid Systems Integration (GSI) Business Line, is accountable for the Product Development, for the Business Development, for the Sales, for the Project Execution and for the Services of high voltage Alternative & Direct Current complete solutions, including Engineering, Procurement, and associated Construction (EPC). Typical customers of GSI are worldwide Transmission, Distribution, Power Generation Utilities and Developers, as well as a wide range of Industrial customers. Typical project values range from a couple of hundreds of thousand dollars, up to the billion-dollar range. GSI Profit and Loss accountability is being structured around 6 geographical Regions, and Global Functions. Average order intake of GSI for the High Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) segment exceeds 4b$ a year. Les clients types de GSI sont les sociétés de transport, de distribution, de production d'électricité et des investisseurs du monde entier, ainsi qu'une large gamme de clients industriels. La valeur typique d'un projet varie de quelques centaines de milliers d’euros à une un milliard d’euros. La responsabilité de la profitabilité de GSI est structurée autour de 6 régions géographiques et de fonctions globales. Le niveau moyen de commandes annuelles de GSI pour le segment du courant continu haute tension (HVDC) dépasse les 4 milliards d’euros. Role Summary/Purpose The HVDC market is experiencing rapid growth and is projected to outpace other segments in the coming years. GSI’s ambition is to achieve growth in this segment that exceeds the overall market rate. Reporting directly to the GSI Sales & Tendering Leader, the

GSI Global HVDC Commercial Leader

is responsible for ensuring that GSI secures a substantial share of the expanding HVDC market across all Regions. This is achieved in close coordination with the Regional GSI Sales & Tendering teams, Marketing teams, New Product Introduction Teams, and Global Account Managers. In this capacity, the GSI Global HVDC Segment Leader plays a key role in shaping GSI’s strategic positioning within the HVDC market and in driving the creation and management of the HVDC pipeline. He/she is accountable for fostering strong relationships with customers at the C-Suite level, with both regional and global Key Accounts, taking an active role in critical negotiations, and ensuring the effective sharing of commercial best practices and lessons learned across the Regions and the GSI Business Line. Essential Responsibilities Contribute to the definition of the GSI strategic positioning on HVDC: In collaboration with the GSI senior leadership team, and through ongoing information gathering and engagement with market stakeholders—including GE Vernova Wind businesses, Financial Services, customers, and macroeconomic experts—develop a comprehensive and structured understanding of the global HVDC market, including its segmentation, volume, and emerging trends. Under the direction of the GSI Sales & Tendering Leader, define a clear vision and strategy to maximize profitable growth for GSI within the HVDC sector, influence market and customer dynamics, propose innovative business models, define and implement strategies to introduce new products to the market while maximizing return on investments, and capitalize on reference solutions to enhance GE Vernova’s value proposition. Translate the approved HVDC vision and strategy into actionable commercial plans, including proactive contributions to the development of commercial strategies for HVDC tenders led by the Regions. HVDC Key Account Management Across The Regions: Across the GSI Regions, in close collaboration with Regional and Global Account Managers, develop comprehensive knowledge of, and build strong relationships with, HVDC Key Accounts. Map decision-making centers within HVDC Key Accounts, establish structured engagement plans to address these centers at the C-suite level, and champion the voice of the customer within the organization. Manage Key Account perceptions of capabilities and performance by overseeing the implementation of Key Account Management Plans. HVDC Pipeline Creation & Management: Support Regional Commercial Teams and Global Account Managers in identifying and managing the HVDC pipeline and in generating demand from the earliest stages. Prioritize opportunities across Regions considering win probability, materialization likelihood, alignment with reference solutions, profitability, cash flow, and risk. Ensure pipeline development remains aligned with strategy, budget, and quarterly forecasts. HVDC Bid And Proposal Management Lead – People Leader: Provide cross-regional oversight of all GSI Bid & Proposal Management activities related to HVDC opportunities, ensuring high-quality, profitable, compliant, and timely proposals across the full HVDC portfolio. Achieve target order intake, profitability, and cash flow for HVDC within GSI. Ensure offers are executable and competitive, supporting regional goals through collaboration with Account Management, Proposal Management, and other GSI functions. Contribute to strategic partnerships to enhance GE Vernova’s offering. Code Of Ethics, EHS And Processes: Ensure compliance with the Grid Solutions Sales & Tendering process and Delegation of Authority, and with GE Code of Ethics and EHS. Qualifications/Requirements Min. Bachelor's degree or equivalent knowledge or experience Excellent track record in commercial, sales and/or marketing functions Proven expertise in the HVDC industry Experience in large and complex technical B2B sales in international environment Experience of Energy & Industry market will be an advantage Desired Characteristics Customer-centric mindset, able to translate customer issues/needs into profitable business solutions Strong negotiation skills and leadership Excellent strategic thinker who can translate business development challenges into opportunities Self-starter, strong team player and ability to maintain can-do attitude through the entire business cycle Experience working with multi-cultural teams and inclusive behavior in remote relationships Experience in functional leadership and leading by influence Fluent in English Relocation Assistance Provided: No Note:
