Embedded Software: Database engineer (m/f)

Overview

Airbus Helicopters’ Software Products department is responsible for the development and integration of embedded software, implementing safety critical functionalities. The department supports in house solutions and the development of products by other internal entities or external suppliers, ensuring that development processes follow applicable guidelines (eg ED-12/DO-178) for civil certification. We are looking for a database engineer to support the management of system interfaces. Your working environment

You will join a team working transversely on all helicopters developing interfaces on new or existing systems for development. Responsibilities (not exhaustive): Design our system database architecture to ease integrations on our fleet, ensuring it allows to demonstrate compliance with applicable regulations Organize the update, with system architects, of system interfaces to integrate new features in our products Organize the backlog of activities performed by partners Participate in process improvement, in particular to facilitate continuous integration of embedded systems Perform the update associated with some features in the database Your profile

The ideal candidate has the following experience and skills: Educated to 5 years’ degree level (or equivalent) in computer science, electronics or related discipline Ability to manage software developments/database Strong experience on database management Experience with python or other scripting languages Experience with ED-12/DO-178, DO-330 or DO-220 certification processes. Other industry standards (e.g.: IEC 61508, ISO 26262) may also be interesting Experience with configuration management processes and tools (e.g. svn, git, clearcase…) Fluent in French and English Soft skills: analysis skills, capacity of abstraction, willingness to learn to be autonomous, clear communication in a context of divergent opinions You are also a curious team player willing to challenge the status quo, and to develop and push innovative solutions. Other experience in related domains will also be appreciated. Familiarity with model based development (e.g. Scade, Simulink) Familiarity with continuous integration processes and tools (e.g. Jenkins) Experience in simulation / modelisation Experience working with agile methods (e.g. scrum) Not a 100% match?
