Overview

In this position you will… Be responsible for overseeing the financial reporting of our French Brokerage entity, ensuring compliance with both local statutory requirements and group accounting standards. You will support a wide range of accounting technical assessments, provide financial insights to aid decision-making, and partner with leadership to drive operational and financial excellence. This role requires close collaboration with our outsourced business services partner for consolidation activities and the use of Oracle for reporting, alongside Excel and other tools for collecting, analysing, and presenting financial data. Responsibilities

Managing the full cycle financial closing process of the legal entity and the consolidated financial statements and ad hoc reports as required Aligning financial processes and accounting with best practice within the group Driving effective communication with key stakeholders before, during, and after each reporting milestone Liaising with the group finance teams on accounting-related queries and/or reports submission Working with external auditors to ensure correct and timely closing and reporting at the year-end Ensuring that management and financial reporting can be fully reconciled, and any variances explained Establishing and enforcing proper accounting methods, policies, and principles in accordance with local and international framework / standards Guiding other finance teams by researching and interpreting accounting policy and applying observations and recommendations to operational issues Driving and leading special projects, new program implementations, workflow process improvements and strategic planning and other ad hoc requests To be successful you will require the following competencies & skills

Bachelor’s Degree in relevant fields with 6-8 years’ experience in financial closing Qualified accountant with excellent IFRS technical skills Strong analytical, quantitative, execution, project management skills coupled with good financial acumen Insurance industry and Big 4 accounting firm experience preferred Excellent senior stakeholder management and exceptional knowledge of finance, accounting, cost accounting and IFRS Excellent verbal and written communication abilities across all levels Critical thinker and problem-solving skills Good time-management skills and able to thrive in a fast-pace setting High attention to detail and accuracy Strong ability to direct, supervise and manage executives while simultaneously handling various tasks Strong ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment Proficient in Microsoft suite (e.g., Power Point, Excel, Word, MS Project) Strong proficiency in Power BI is a significant plus, with additional experience in Qlik or other data analytics and processing tools/languages considered highly valuable Diversity and Inclusion
