Supervise and manage a Centre d’Incendie et de Secours (CIS) for personnel on land or in firefighting safety teams aboard ships, within an 80–100 person CIS. Plan internal activities (training, interventions) and ensure the upkeep of facilities and equipment. Manage the center’s personnel and act as deputy chief or service head as required, with autonomy during periods of substitution. Contribute to HR, technical and operational tasks within the safety brigade while deployed. Location and Contract

Location: units of marins-pompiers in mainland France, naval bases or air/naval bases; Marseille marine-fire battalion; aboard surface ships such as Amphibious Helicopter Carriers or Aircraft Carriers; and the greater Paris region (state headquarters of the Navy or civil security direction). Initial contract of 8 years, renewable; career may continue up to 20 years of service; possible progression to career officer status. Military status with potential statutory grade evolution. Additional allowances may be awarded based on missions and qualifications (embarkations, deployments). On-base housing possible before eligibility for Defence housing. SNCF benefits: up to 75% discount for personal travel. 45 days of leave per year. Formation and Qualifications

5 months of management training at École Navale in Lanvéoc-Poulmic (29), followed by 6 months of specialty training at the Marine Firefighters School (EMPM) in Marseille. Operational qualifications as group leader (GOC3, FDF3) per DGSCGC crisis management standards. Profile / Requirements

Minimum Bachelor’s degree (Bac+3) or equivalent. Human qualities as important as technical skills; adaptability, teamwork, initiative and leadership. Analytical and reactive capabilities; availability required; managerial and teamwork preferred. Swimming ability; physically and medically fit. French nationality. Completed JDC (Journée Défense et Citoyenneté). Age: 21 to under 30 at recruitment year start. Recruitment Path
