Overview
At LanguageWire, we wire the world together with languages. Our Business Development Team is the first touchpoint for new customers as they start their journey with us. The Business Development Director will be a key factor in our growth, working across our ecosystem of technology and services to deliver high value solutions to enterprise clients. The role requires a consultative mindset and comfort managing inbound requests as well as cold outreach to new prospects up to C‑level stakeholders. You will be based in our Paris office.
Responsibilities
Understand and articulate LanguageWire\'s services, capabilities, benefits and competitive advantages, and know when to involve colleagues for best results
Work across the value chain to close inbound leads
Create leads by researching prospective clients through a mix of strategies
Outreach and follow-up with prospects and new clients
Represent LanguageWire at commercial events, trade fairs and thought leadership occasions
Pipeline management and revenue forecasting
Establish and develop relationships with enterprise targets
Create proposals, lead presentations, manage RFPs and negotiate contracts
Coordinate internal resources, teams and talent to win client trust and drive revenue
Be a strong team player whose contributions are valued and who can rely on colleagues
What success looks like after one year
Understand our business, our customers, and the value LanguageWire has provided to them
Colleagues can rely on you as a resource for describing detailed case studies for your book of business
Hit annual targets and be well prepared to surpass next year\'s targets
Qualifications
3–7 years sales experience, preferably within the localization industry
Desire to learn about new technology, solutions and processes and ability to communicate their benefits to potential clients
Understanding of the sales lifecycle from lead generation through closing
Proven track record in achieving sales targets
Self-driven with excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong interpersonal skills
Consultancy toolbox (problem solving, analytical mindset, stakeholder management, presentation skills, etc.)
Effective time management
Can-do attitude, fast learner, ready to take on challenges
Professional language proficiency in French and English (obligatory); further languages are advantageous
Nice to have
Experience in translation/content or technology industry
Proven success in SaaS and/or localization sales
Experience integrating platforms and systems to drive value
Strategic and methodical approach to problem solving
