ERGOMED . Ergomed is a rapidly expanding full service mid-sized CRO specialising in Oncology and Rare Disease. As the Therapeutic Area Head Oncology, you will drive the success of new business proposals and clinical trial delivery by combining medical/scientific expertise, standard of care knowledge, awareness of emerging therapeutic trends, a patient-centric focus, and regulatory expertise. You are the therapeutic expert in oncology across the organization and contribute to optimizing our commercial and operational success in oncology. You will be highly visible to internal and external stakeholders in generating and communicating thought leadership at internal Ergomed forums, academic and industry symposia, publications, and digital promotions.

Responsibilities

Key medical/scientific leader responsible for the oncology input informing the corporate strategy of Ergomed CRO

Head of the Ergomed Oncology Center of Excellence leading therapeutic and operational subject matter experts

Advocate for patient care and safety, uphold quality standards, and ensure that clinical operations remain financially viable

Collaborate with internal and external experts to incorporate innovative approaches and industry best practices into oncology trial design and planning

Work with Business Development to contribute medical/scientific insights and support winning new oncology business opportunities

Develop and present compelling narratives showcasing Ergomed’s oncology expertise and strategic solutions

Support strategic trial design by applying oncology therapy knowledge, sponsor context, disease indications, and regulatory requirements

Stay updated with medical advancements, industry trends, and regulatory requirements

Provide mentorship to Operations team members involved with oncology trials

Conduct oncology disease-specific training for Medical Affairs staff on drug safety considerations

Support Clinician Engagement to gather insights from key opinion leaders across regions

Partner with cross-functional teams to predict, identify, mitigate, and manage trial execution challenges

Represent Ergomed at industry meetings, speaking engagements, and through publications

Establish Ergomed as an authority in oncology clinical research

Qualifications

MD or PhD (MBA also preferred)

Expertise and extensive clinical research experience in oncology globally

Strong network of stakeholders and KOLs in oncology

Experience in a CRO environment with a track record of oncology business growth

In-depth knowledge of regulatory authority regulations

Strong leadership, communication, and presentation skills

Excellent organizational, documentation, and interpersonal skills

Strong business acumen and ability to navigate a complex global matrix

Ability to manage multiple tasks to meet deadlines in a dynamic environment
