The mission of the Okta Integration Network (OIN) Platform team is integral to Okta's broader objectives, as it delivers infrastructure and platform functionalities for application and integration providers across diverse categories. This enables seamless integration with Okta, facilitating the rapid discovery and configuration of new software solutions and capabilities for Okta customers. What you will be doing

Analyze/refine requirements with product management and other stakeholders by asking the right questions and driving clarity. Scope and plan engineering efforts to ensure project and feature launch success. Design and implement high-performance, distributed, scalable and fault-tolerant software components. Maintain a high bar for security, test-driven development, design, and code reviews, while also harbouring a sense of urgency. Enjoy working across a cross-functional team consisting of QA, Product Management, Technical Support, Documentation and UX to create an extensible platform. Own features and/or systems and define their long-term health, observability and reliability metrics. What you bring to the Team

Have 5-7 years of software development experience Proficient in at least one of the backend languages and frameworks - Java, C#, Typescript (NodeJS). Comfortable in React or similar front-end UI stack (Angular, Vue); if not comfortable yet, you are willing to learn. Demonstrable knowledge of HTTP fundamentals with strong API Design skills. Have experience working with at least one of the database technologies - MySQL, Redis, or PostgreSQL. Experience working with at least one cloud-native system of scale (AWS, GCP, Azure) Experience with distributed systems patterns, including caching, asynchronous processing, etc. Track record of delivering work incrementally to get feedback and iterating over solutions. Demonstrate infectious enthusiasm and bring the right attitude to the team, emphasizing ownership, accountability, attention to detail, and customer focus. Excellent written communication skills, bringing structure to ambiguous concepts, and driving closure on them methodically using first principles. Bonus Points

Expertise in standard provisioning, authentication and authorization protocols such as SAML, SCIM, OAuth and OIDC. Remote

The annual base salary range for this position for candidates located in Canada is between: $130,000—$194,000 CAD What you can look forward to as a Full-Time Okta employee!
