Position Overview
The
General Manager
drives the performance and success of the branch, ensuring revenue growth, profitability, and operational excellence. This leadership role oversees multiple departments, fosters cross-team collaboration, and maintains a strong focus on financial performance, customer satisfaction, and business development. The GM ensures alignment with
BELFOR ’s strategic goals and builds strong client relationships for long-term success.
What You’ll Do
Operational Leadership: Develop, implement, and optimize operational systems, processes, and policies to achieve strategic goals.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with HR, Health & Safety, Marketing, Sales, and Finance to improve departmental performance and ensure compliance.
Financial Management: Oversee budgets, audits, and financial reviews to monitor branch performance and profitability.
Project Oversight: Manage all projects, ensuring alignment with objectives, timelines, budgets, and profitability; guide Project Managers in scope and cost estimation.
Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team; set clear expectations and conduct performance evaluations.
Business Development: Identify and implement marketing strategies to drive revenue growth, productivity, and market share.
Client Relations: Maintain a customer-focused approach, promptly address concerns, and strengthen long-term client relationships.
Additional Duties: Perform other responsibilities as required to support branch success.
What You Bring
High School Diploma/GED
5+ years of senior leadership experience in construction, restoration, or insurance, with a proven track record managing operations
Extensive experience in financial management, budgeting, and performance analysis
Strong strategic thinking, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
Excellent verbal and written communication, with the ability to engage and influence internal teams and external stakeholders
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, balancing multiple priorities while ensuring quality and operational excellence
Valid driver’s license and ability to operate a motor vehicle according to
BELFOR ’s Auto Policy
Nice to Have
Post-secondary degree or diploma in Project Management, Business Management, or a related field
Experience with estimating, project management, and advanced safety certifications
Proven expertise in managing large teams and leading cross-department initiatives
Proficiency in Xactimate and XactAnalysis
Working Conditions
Due to the nature of our business, this position will work normal business hours but may be required to work in the evenings, on-call, or outside normal working hours;
Manual dexterity for keyboarding, repetitive tasks, and prolonged periods of computer use, demanding attention to detail and high levels of accuracy; and
Occasional travel to other locations or client sites may be required to support operational needs
