With a growing portfolio and backed by private equity, we are helping our client recruit for their next CEO. The position can be based in either British Columbia or Ontario. Overview

Reporting to the Board of Directors, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) will lead the company across its national operations, ensuring disciplined growth, strong fund performance, and operational excellence. Responsibilities

Work with the Board of Directors to define and execute a long-term growth strategy for the business across multiple funds and geographies. Lead the Asset Management and Property Management functions. Lead acquisition and development initiatives, ensuring alignment with fund objectives and governance. Drive business transformation, process improvement, and system upgrades to support scale and efficiency. Engage with institutional and retail investors, articulating fund strategy and performance, and supporting capital raising activities. Lead an integrated team spanning acquisitions, development, operations, and fund management. Ensure operational excellence in property management, customer experience, and technology adoption. Leverage technology, centralized platforms, and field support systems to scale operations efficiently. Drive integration and efficiency across acquisitions and developments. Foster a culture of integrity, innovation, and executional excellence. Build, mentor, and retain a high-performing leadership team. Qualifications

A minimum of 15-20 years of relevant leadership experience in the self-storage, logistics, real estate, seniors’ housing/retirement, retail, or a related sector. Have operated at the C-Suite or senior executive level with another multi-site, multi-jurisdictional business. Strong operational background with a preference for someone with experience in real estate development and/or acquisitions. A track record of scaling businesses, including leading high-growth consolidation (M&A) strategies. Exceptional communication skills; able to effectively communicate at the Board, investor, and staff level. Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to scale a national operating platform.
