Salary: $91,200 - $136,800 CAD

Key Accountabilities

Contribute to the strategic direction of the audit function and participate in the development and implementation of programs.

Plan, lead/manage and/or oversee audit activities requiring alignment across multiple areas; ensure audits are executed and completed per standards and parameters.

Oversee/lead audits and/or follow up on findings from internal audits and regulatory reviews in accordance with policy.

Oversee/lead ongoing audit communications and reporting with clients, senior management and external auditors for specific or overall Audit area.

Provide direction/input to complex, wide-ranging audit initiatives; participate in identifying, designing and testing solutions and supporting implementation as needed.

Lead/manage the integrated implementation of policies, processes, procedures and changes across multiple functional areas.

Act as audit lead or advisor to management and teams in area of specialization; report on emerging trends, issues and opportunities and recommend actions to senior management.

Facilitate key discussions and provide thought leadership to an executive audience.

Shareholder / Risk & Control

Adhere to internal policies, enterprise frameworks and regulatory guidelines; identify control weaknesses/failures and opportunities to improve operational efficiencies.

Manage relationships with business lines and control functions; ensure alignment with enterprise and regulatory requirements.

Stay informed on emerging issues, trends, and evolving regulatory requirements and assess impacts to the Bank.

Identify key issues and escalate to appropriate stakeholders as required.

Maintain a culture of risk management and control with effective processes and infrastructure aligned with risk appetite.

Participate in cross-functional initiatives as a subject matter expert to identify risk and provide guidance for complex situations.

Work autonomously as a lead within a specialized audit practice area; provide guidance to others as needed.

Provide seasoned knowledge and guidance to stakeholders and team members.

Lead or supervise complex audits and ensure completion.

Advanced knowledge of external competition, industry trends relevant to the function.

Role may have enterprise impact; manage multiple complex audits end-to-end.

Handle confidential information with discretion.

Typically reports to a Senior Audit Group Manager or equivalent executive role.

Experience & Education

Undergraduate degree required

7+ years of relevant experience
