Overview The Sales Technology Team at MSCI plays a critical role enabling internal teams to manage and execute business processes across the Opportunity to Order value chain (Opportunity pipeline management and Contract Lifecycle Management) as well as Order to Cash processes (integrations with ERP). Salesforce at MSCI is the strategic platform used by Sales, Client Service, Sales Operations, Marketing, Product Management, Finance, and other business units to achieve their business objectives.

We are seeking a talented and driven

Salesforce Platform Lead

to join our growing Business Technology (BT) team. This role will interact with our Sales business leaders and stakeholders to analyze current process pain-points, proactively propose solutions, challenge existing processes, and bring fresh ideas and insights to ensure CRM processes are streamlined, efficient and automated to support scale. This role will work on understanding and analyzing business requirements and design scalable solutions to meet their business objectives.

As the lead for the Sales domain, you will also manage a team, develop them as technical experts for the products they support, help plan and manage the workload for the teams, build relationships with the global sales technology users / stakeholders and other business groups as enumerated above.

Responsibilities

Deliver across a program of both continuous improvement and enterprise-wide CRM projects that support Sales

Develop end-to-end solutions by a thorough analysis of business processes, key program objectives and KPIs

Maintain a keen focus across the critical CRM/ERP integration landscape (CRM to SAP middle-tier), fully understanding the needs of Finance from a CRM data and reporting perspective

Collaborate with senior business partners, cross-functional Scrum teams, data stewards, project management, prioritization councils, procurement, IT security, SOX (and more) to ensure both the long-term viability of the platform and its alignment to evolving business objectives

Conduct a rigorous prioritization of initiatives with key stakeholders (cost-benefit analysis) towards the goal of gaining mutual agreement on the most impactful changes

Oversee system compliance with regulatory controls such as SOX and Data Privacy, and internal security policies

Ensure alignment of priorities, helping unblock issues, and managing escalations

Maintain a keen eye on platform usage and adoption metrics to measure success

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

Partner with marketing, sales, and BT teams to develop strategies that support both marketing and sales objectives.

Ensure marketing initiatives are aligned with sales needs and workflows, improving the overall customer experience.

Qualifications

In-depth understanding of Salesforce

Strong understanding of the Lead to Order cycle (Opportunity pipeline management and Contract Lifecycle Management) as well as Order to Cash processes (integrations with ERP)

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, team building skills and presentation skills

Ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines across a diverse project portfolio, with a sharp focus on the incremental delivery of business value

360-degree view across System and Application Architecture, Data Architecture, Integration Architecture and Development & Deployment Architecture

Strong analytical, problem solving and team building skills, attention to details, ability to prioritize and plan effectively, initiative to follow through on directives, and knowledge and sensitivity to global partners/cultures/norms

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with both technical teams and business stakeholders.

Advanced framing skills for presentation & communication at all levels of the organization

Salesforce Architecture certifications. CTA is a big plus.
