Senior Technical Manager, Archaeology

WSP E&I Canada Limited is seeking a Senior Technical Manager to join the Ontario Archaeology team. We are a global leader in the Earth and Infrastructure sector, headquartered in Montreal, with over 14,000 multidisciplinary Environment and Infrastructure (E&I) professionals worldwide. The successful candidate will lead all aspects of archaeological assessment requirements, research and prepare proposals and reports, and oversee project scope, budgets, schedules, and quality. They will also provide senior technical oversight, mentor archaeological staff, and support business development activities. Requirements include a professional license to conduct archaeological fieldwork in Ontario, 18+ years of experience in consulting archaeology, and broad expertise in both the practice and business aspects of consulting archaeology. The ideal candidate will have expert knowledge of Ontario archaeology, be capable of independently delivering quality work, and have proven experience in leading and mentoring employees. Preferred qualifications include expert knowledge of Ontario historical period and/or Indigenous material culture, understanding of requirements for archaeology on federal lands, and membership with the Canadian Association of Heritage Professionals (CAHP).
