This role contributes to the overall success of the Enterprise Delivery Office Cybersecurity and IT Risk Portfolio, ensuring specific goals, plans, and initiatives are executed aligned with the team’s business strategies and objectives. All activities must comply with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures.

In this Role, you will:
Responsibilities
Manage large and complex initiatives exceeding $20 million.
Possess extensive IT project management and Agile experience.
Demonstrate end-to-end execution proficiency.
Lead with strong financial acumen in IT execution/development estimation and forecasting.
Be velocity-focused with preventative issue management and proactive planning to minimize risks and issues.
Maintain strong relationship management skills, particularly with C-level executives, and collaborate with multiple stakeholders.
Champion a customer-focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.
Program Delivery: oversee program delivery, roadmap strategy, business case creation, risk mitigation, financial planning and KPI reporting, ensuring alignment with business goals and timelines.
Lead program-level reporting aligned with governance structures to communicate risks, decisions and mitigation plans.
Partner with Portfolio Governance teams on prioritization and planning for all application and security programs.
Engage in projects spanning multiple organizations and geographies, often involving external suppliers and contractors.
Collaborate with peer IT Portfolio Directors and VPs to align on strategy, cross-program dependencies, risks and issues.
Present portfolio status to VPs/SVPs, business partners and executives as required.
Develop strong business case writing skills and ability to secure funding approvals from CIOs/CFOs across lines of business.
Navigate complex, enterprise environments with multiple stakeholders.
Ensure alignment with Scotiabank’s risk culture and appetite in day-to-day activities and decisions.
Support efficient operations aligned with Scotiabank values, code of conduct, and Global Sales Principles, while ensuring day-to-day controls for operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk.
Foster a high-performance, inclusive work environment.
Qualifications
10+ years of hands-on IT Project Management experience.
5+ years of leading diverse, global teams across geographies and time zones.
Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, presentation) in English.
Effective influence and negotiation skills.
Strong analytical, strategic thinking, thought leadership, planning and project delivery/execution skills.
Experience delivering results in a large, complex global environment with a mix of emerging, current and legacy technology.
PMP certification in good standing.
