Valtech is looking to hire a Senior Data Scientist to join our growing capabilities team. If you are innovative, passionate about data and AI technologies, and look to continually learn and share expertise, read on. Role Responsibilities

Conduct root-cause analyses of known production issues leading to adverse model outputs Select and implement in Databricks appropriate machine learning models for time-series forecasting and supply-chain optimization applications Contribute well-tested code to existing PySpark and object-oriented Python codebases, leveraging GitHub and CI/CD Analyze raw data sets to create meaningful impact for large enterprise clients while maintaining scientific rigor Engineer data pipelines via Databricks Lakeflow and Azure Data Factory to support data-driven decisions Communicate analytical findings in an intuitive and visually compelling way Create highly visual dashboards via Tableau, Power BI, or custom web applications Design KPIs to guide business decisions and measure success Build data infrastructure, software libraries, and APIs supporting BI and ML data pipelines Architect cloud data platform components enabling the above Manage project timelines, dependencies, and risks; gather stakeholder requirements and conduct technical due diligence Must Have Qualifications

Proven experience developing predictive or inferential statistical models; Masters/PhD in quantitative fields (Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, etc.) Experience with statistical and ML libraries and applying them to business problems in time-series forecasting Proficiency in Python, PySpark, SQL; familiarity with Databricks environment and Databricks Lakeflow Experience contributing Python code in a version-controlled environment (Git, GitHub PRs, CI/CD with GitHub Actions) More than 5 years of relevant experience Nice to Have Qualifications

Experience contributing to packaged software libraries Proficiency in visualization libraries (matplotlib/seaborn/bokeh/streamlit/altair), D3, R ggplot2 Experience with Tableau or Power BI, UNIX scripting, big data tools (Databricks Unity Catalog, Spark, Hive) Cloud architecture experience (AWS, Azure, Google), data pipeline tools (Airflow, Luigi, Prefect) Ability to translate raw data and ambiguous questions into actionable insights Frontend/backend development skills (JavaScript, HTML, CSS, React/Vue/Angular), API design Experience leading technical data/analytics/ML projects Inclusive hiring and benefits
