Overview
Vice President of Finance & Corporate Strategy - Bimbo Canada. The role partners with the President to shape and execute the organization’s strategic transformation, oversees financial operations, governance and compliance, and collaborates with business leaders to drive long-term profitability.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement comprehensive financial strategies aligned with short/medium/long-term plans; provide strategic guidance for growth, profitability, and sustainability.
Guide corporate strategy with scenario planning; translate strategy into actionable financial and operational plans; assess growth opportunities including M&A; participate in due diligence, modelling, negotiations, and integration planning; track initiatives and accountability.
Capex management: oversee CAPEX projects; develop cost control and risk strategies; collaborate cross-functionally to prioritize initiatives that drive growth and efficiency.
Lead FP&A: manage day-to-day financial operations; ensure compliance; oversee planning, forecasting, budgeting; drive cost optimization and process innovation.
Risk, compliance and ethics: manage financial risks; ensure regulatory compliance; report to executive team; promote integrity and the Bimbo Way; pension committee involvement as ex-officio.
Stakeholder relations: build relationships with external and internal stakeholders; translate financial metrics into business outcomes.
Talent management: build and develop a high-performing finance team; succession planning; mentoring and development.
Executive team membership: participate as a key member of Canadian executive team, provide financial perspective to strategic decisions.
Experience & Education
Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or related field; MBA/EMBA preferred
CPA and/or CFA designation preferred
15+ years of financial leadership experience, 10+ years in senior executive role
Manufacturing/CPG industry experience mandatory
Experience in corporate strategy, M&A, investor relations
Understanding of Canadian regulatory landscape
Experience with technology-driven transformation or AI-enabled business models is a plus
Familiarity with pension plans is a plus
French or Spanish language ability a plus
