The Opportunity
We’re looking for a Solutions Architect who is ready to make an impact. In this role, you’ll drive technical success throughout the sales cycle, partnering with Account Managers and clients to design tailored cybersecurity solutions that address business risks and challenges. You will combine technical mastery, business acumen, and strong communication to help enterprise clients make confident decisions in a evolving cybersecurity landscape.
What You’ll Do
Serve as a subject matter expert across domains such as cloud security, identity and access management, endpoint protection, and compliance frameworks.
Lead discovery and assessment sessions with clients to identify gaps, define requirements, and shape solution strategies.
Design integrated cybersecurity architectures leveraging iON’s services and partner technologies.
Partner with account managers to qualify and advance opportunities.
Deliver technical presentations, product demonstrations, and proofs-of-concept to technical and executive audiences.
Simplify complex security concepts into clear, actionable insights for customers.
Present on technical topics at industry and commercial events as needed.
Promote and solution iON’s cybersecurity service offerings across customer engagements.
Draft Statements of Work (SOWs), RFP responses, diagrams, and technical documentation.
Ensure proposed solutions are technically sound, scalable, and aligned with customer needs.
Position iON as a strategic partner by tailoring solutions to the customer’s journey.
Collaborate with product vendor Solution Architects for product-specific solutioning and leverage their expertise to strengthen client outcomes.
Structure and execute on customer-facing Proof of Concept labs, demonstrations, and comparisons when appropriate.
Understand the technical and security capabilities of iON’s major vendors and certify on major partner vendor solutions as needed.
Work with Sales, Product, and Delivery teams to ensure customer success and capture market feedback to inform service development.
What You Bring
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
Cybersecurity certifications (e.g., PCNSA, CCIE, CCSP, CISM, CISSP, GIAC).
Expertise across cybersecurity domains including network, cloud, SIEM, endpoint, GRC, AppSec and IAM, with core capability in one domain; some operational background is preferred.
Experience with relevant tools, frameworks, and compliance standards.
Ability to assess business needs and design fit-for-purpose security architectures.
Familiarity with evaluating business risk and developing appropriate solutions.
Trusted advisor mindset — personable, diligent, and adaptable.
Strong written and verbal communication skills for technical and executive audiences.
Ability to handle ambiguity, attention to detail, and ability to tell a clear story around complex solutions.
Experience with public speaking and developing clear presentation material.
Collaborative team player with a mature outlook.
