Your Impact
The Principal Learning Consultant is responsible for building,Leading and delivering learning programs that drive high product adoption for OpenText. You will work with high-profile clients and partners to realize value from OpenText solutions by delivering high-quality, complex learning and adoption programs. You will focus on building certified product practitioners, product users, and Centers of Excellence within our ecosystem. Programs include onboarding and managing the OpenText learning subscription to expand credentialed users. Responsibilities include needs analysis, onboarding, program management, customization, in-person and virtual delivery, mentoring/coaching, and best-practice advisory services. You will collaborate with internal organizations and consulting services teams to design content, build training programs, and deliver training on complex topics. You will become a certified product expert and assist the curriculum development team with design, development, updates, review, and beta delivery of standard course materials and certification item writing.
What You Will Do
Deliver high-quality education on-site and online for OpenText products to customers, partners, and employees across skill levels from new to advanced users.
Provide education delivery and consulting, including training environment configuration, customization, and development of customer-specific training (instructor-led and digital), with technical reviews, engagement scoping, training audits, and client/project management.
Maintain knowledge of OpenText applications, training techniques, and the EIM industry.
Lead onboarding, delivery, analysis, and execution of learning programs and solutions, ensuring they meet client expectations and documenting requirements.
Drive learning services activities during implementation in line with the OpenText PSPM methodology and continue after implementation.
Review customer reporting and analytics for performance improvement, advise on value realization, and recommend next steps.
Communicate customer requirements to the delivery manager and operations teams for training projects.
Focus on driving certification and user adoption.
Develop and/or deliver technical training to build Centers of Excellence within large clients; identify and execute continuous improvements to learning products.
Engage with functional managers and cross-functional teams to drive alignment, while nurturing relationships with customers, partners, and colleagues.
Contribute to OpenText knowledge base and training IP through content design and development for internal repositories.
Gather feedback and product ideas from training programs; assess training effectiveness.
Assist in designing and producing course materials using tools such as Microsoft Office, Adobe Captivate, and Adobe FrameMaker.
Manage setup and configuration of software in classrooms at OpenText sites, customer sites, and regional facilities; research new product functionality and related training requirements.
What You Need To Succeed
A passion for training with the ability to act as a trusted advisor to customers, delivering foundational product training and accelerating skills development.
Excellent facilitation and presentation skills (CTT+ or similar certification is an asset).
12+ years of experience delivering software training from end users to deep technical roles.
6+ years designing and implementing customized Learning & Development programs for global customers.
Relevant experience in Enterprise Information Management, including content/document management, analytics, forensics, security, SAP solutions, and/or business software consulting.
Experience with relational databases and strong SQL skills.
Prior experience with OpenText software is an asset.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related field.
Self-motivated with the ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with technical and creative team members across functions.
Exceptional organization, decision-making, problem-solving, interpersonal and influencing skills.
Ability to deliver practical, real-world solutions and collaborate with globally distributed teams.
Ability to travel virtually 50%+ to destinations worldwide; valid passport required.
