Senior Structural Engineer (Hydropower and Dams)

Our Power subsector supports clients from coast to coast, providing a comprehensive range of services including technical study preparation, project management, detailed design, and site services. We are seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to join our team in Ontario or Atlantic Canada. The successful candidate will lead in conducting feasibility studies and detailed engineering of new structures or rehabilitation of existing structures, including dams, spillways, and hydroelectric power plants. They will also lead in the completion and review of reinforced concrete and steel structure design, participate in site inspections, prepare plans and specifications, and mentor younger engineers. Responsibilities: Lead feasibility studies and detailed engineering of new or existing structures Lead completion and review of reinforced concrete and steel structure design Participate in site inspections Prepare plans and specifications Mentor younger engineers Requirements: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent 12+ years of experience in structural engineering Registered Professional Engineer (P.Eng) in your province of practice Experience with concrete and steel structure design in Hydropower and Dams projects Strong communication skills WSP is committed to the principles of employment equity and welcomes applications from people with disabilities.
