Job Summary
The Shared Services Product Owner will drive the development and enhancement of our shared services applications, focusing on delivering seamless data integration and exceptional user experiences across multiple systems. This role will own the product backlog and work closely with engineering, business stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to build solutions that facilitate efficient data flow and enhance operational processes. You will translate shared services strategy into actionable product requirements, prioritize features that improve data management and system interoperability, and ensure seamless integration with existing applications and workflows. You will be responsible for maximizing the value delivered through our shared services technology stack, with emphasis on ensuring critical data, such as credit hold statuses, is effectively communicated across systems.
Responsibilities
Own and manage the shared services product backlog, defining and prioritizing epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria aligned with shared services objectives and business goals
Partner with stakeholders across departments to understand data flow challenges and translate them into product solutions that enhance operational efficiency
Drive the implementation and optimization of shared services applications, ensuring maximum adoption and value realization
Collaborate with engineering teams to define technical requirements for data integration, system notifications, and automated workflows
Design and implement metrics and dashboards that provide actionable insights into system performance, data accuracy, and user engagement
Conduct user research and gather feedback from stakeholders to continuously improve platform usability and effectiveness
Work cross-functionally with IT, Operations, and other teams to ensure seamless data flow and a consistent user experience across applications
Define and track KPIs such as data accuracy, integration success rates, and user satisfaction
Stay current with shared services best practices and emerging technologies to identify opportunities for platform enhancement
Support change management initiatives to drive adoption of new shared services processes and tools
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
3-5 years of product management or product owner experience, preferably in shared services or enterprise applications
Hands-on experience with data integration platforms and tools, including APIs and integration requirements
Strong understanding of shared services methodologies, data flow management, system interoperability, and process optimization
Experience writing detailed user stories, acceptance criteria, and working within Agile/Scrum
Data analysis skills with experience in dashboards/reports using Tableau, Looker, or similar tools
Strong stakeholder management with ability to influence cross-functional teams
Experience with customer journey mapping and process optimization
Understanding of B2B customer lifecycle management and data-driven decision-making
Other Qualifications
Familiarity with Salesforce, Oracle, and integration patterns
Experience with data visualization and business intelligence tools
Knowledge of automation and workflow design in shared services contexts
Experience in fast-growing SaaS companies with complex customer segments
Compensation and Benefits
The targeted pay ranges vary by location:
United States – Dallas Infomart Office: 136,000 - 204,000 USD / Annual
Canada – Toronto Office: 131,000 - 181,000 CAD / Annual
Pay ranges reflect minimum and maximum target for new hire pay for the full-time position, determined by role, level, and location. The pay range shown is based on our compensation structure in place at posting and may be updated. Individual pay is based on skills, experience, and education. The target range reflects base pay and does not include bonus, equity, or benefits. Eligible for bonus; equity may be offered depending on position.
