Job Summary:
We are seeking a board-certified/board-eligible skilled and compassionate
Urologist
to join our medical team. The Urologist will be responsible for diagnosing, treating, and managing conditions. This role requires proficiency in both surgical and non-surgical treatments and the ability to provide patient-centered care across outpatient, inpatient, and emergency settings. The ideal candidate is dedicated to patient care, eager to build long-term relationships with patients, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Diagnose and treat urological conditions such as urinary tract infections, kidney stones, incontinence, infertility, and prostate issues.
Perform urological surgeries and in-office procedures in their scope of practice.
Collaborate with other specialists and primary care providers to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Educate patients on treatment options, lifestyle changes, and preventive care.
Ensure accurate, timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR) system, including prompt entry of appropriate billing codes.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives, clinical audits, and continuing education activities.
Adhere to all medical standards, ethical guidelines, and regulatory requirements
Supervise nurse practitioners (NPs) and physician assistants (PAs), and fulfill all supervising provider responsibilities, including chart review, co-signature, clinical oversight, and compliance with scope-of-practice regulations
Provide inpatient coverage at a small community hospital in the San Fernando Valley (low volume, approximately 2–5 cases per week)
Qualifications:
Education & Certification:
Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree
Completion of a residency program in Urology
DEA license and eligibility to prescribe controlled substances
Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Urology
Active and unrestricted medical license in California
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Experience:
Minimum [3] years of clinical experience in Urology (preferred but not required for new grads)
Proficiency with EMR systems and telemedicine platforms (if applicable)
