Overview

Senior Software Engineer in Test – Okta for Developers (Okta Identity Governance team). We are looking for an experienced SDET to join our Okta Identity Governance (OIG) team. This team delivers large-scale, mission-critical software in a fast-paced Agile environment. As part of the team, you’ll work with highly skilled engineers, responsible for delivering sophisticated backend solutions that help Okta operate at large scale with high availability. You’ll ensure projects are completed with the highest quality and reliability using automation at every level for fast, robust, and secure releases. The Senior Software Engineer in Test Opportunity

You will: Review requirements and design specs to develop test plans and test cases Automate API tests, end-to-end tests, reliability/scale tests Collaborate with engineering management to scope and plan engineering efforts Document QE plans for scrum teams to review Review application code, identify bugs and areas of weakness, and architect tools for future coverage Automate all critical features to maintain zero-debt cadence Release features with solid quality Respond to production issues/alerts and customer issues during on-call rotation Be a strong customer advocate with a strong quality DNA What You’ll Bring To The Role

5+ years of QE experience, preferably in an enterprise SaaS company 3+ years in quality engineering for enterprise-level software 5+ years of experience in Java-based automation development Familiarity with automation tools such as Selenium, TestCafe, Postman, JMeter, Splunk, AWS toolset Expertise in test planning and cross-team collaboration Experience with distributed systems at large scale Ability to write and review designs and code with team members Ability to deliver well-designed, high-quality code on time Experience with APIs and automation for a SaaS product Nice-to-Have / Extra Credit

Experience with Office 365, Google, Salesforce, Active Directory/LDAP integrations Experience with performance testing Salary and Benefits

Below is the annual salary range for candidates located in Canada. The actual salary will depend on skills, qualifications, and experience. Okta offers equity (where applicable), bonus, and benefits including health, dental, and vision insurance, RRSP matching, healthcare spending, telemedicine, and paid leave (PTO and parental leave) per applicable plans and policies.
